Following this philosophy we started to manufacture generic products since 1935 in the antihypertensive, analgesics, anti-inflammatory, anti-acids, anti-microbial, vitamins and minerals supplements, among others that contribute to the people's well being.

On November 18th in 1935, in a house located in Caracas Street, Medellin, Mr. Emilio Cárdenas founded ECAR laboratories, with the strong conviction that he could improve the life quality of his customers, through the medicines he manufactured.
As the time went by his products, among these, oral solutions, syrups and elixirs, had higher acceptance and an increasing demand, by the customers and consumers thanks to its confidence and safety.
By midcentury 20th and thanks to the company growth, it was necessary to move ECAR's facility to Colombia neighborhood.
In 1993, Ecar laboratories transcends borders and starts to export its products to the Latin-American market, reaching commercial relationships with countries such as México, Guatemala, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, Panamá, Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Ecuador, Bolivia, Peru, Paraguay and Chile.
With new growth perspectives in 2000, ECAR laboratories renovates and expands the facility at Colombia neighborhood, building new manufacturing and storage areas.
In 2005 plant number two is opened in Rionegro - Antioquia, it has the best cutting edge technology that let us offer a better service and an excellent quality in regards to manufacturing and reaction time for our customers.
Since 2008 Ecar laboratories offers manufacturing service contract for third parties, looking for strategical alliances with our customers, this helped us to gain the confidence of big customers such as Copidrogas, Lister, and Incauca among others that ratify the excellent quality of the products developed by our laboratories.
We work together with our customers and suppliers, in continuous improvement, that increase the satisfaction levels through our products and that complement each other with education and training programs for the people that will use the pharmaceutical products so we are sure the use will be the right one.
